Exploring Honeymoon Destinations!
This evening, Rebecca & I went to Marine Parade library to check out some of the travel books in search of various possible honeymoon destinations!
It was an interesting time, as we had previously planned & agreed to make this trip to the library, but the last two times that we came by, the library was closed. Both times, it was a public holiday… how did we not realize? *Laugh*...
We picked out a small pile of travel books & carried them over to the cushion area of the library to look through together. It was such a fascinating feeling just browsing through the pages & photographs of these travel books, discussing, commenting, laughing & talking.
Rebecca had brought along a new notebook which I had given to her last year & we decided to jot down notes of various possible destinations, so that it would easier for us to take a deeper look at the final few choice destinations, when we have got her parents’ consent & start preparing for our wedding. It could be 2 or 3 years down the road, but it’s definitely no hurry exploring… after all, there are so many countries, islands & places to check out!
At the end of today’s search, we narrowed down to a few destinations… with our prime & first choice destination being… HAWAII… Yeah! Hawaii is just absolutely beautiful… lots of scenery that made me stare in awe & wonder at God’s creation & telling Rebecca that I would probably need to bring like 10 digital camera memory cards to snap 6,000 digital photographs!
One other possible destination would be New Zealand. It’s a nice country, with lots of scenery too… but still pale in comparison to Hawaii. New Zealand, however, seemed to be more for hiking, skiing, water sports, tramping, etc.
All in all, it can be so funny sometimes, just observing the way we talk & laugh about issues, from the range of temperatures of a place, to the period of the year which we should visit… even looking at the map & seeing how far it is from the nearest hospital, should any accidents happen! *Laugh*…
There are still another few shelves of even more travel books to look into, but we’ll leave it for the next time when we pass by Marine Parade library. No hurry at this point of time, but it’s just so fascinating to explore destinations together! The marvels of God’s creation… especially the overseas beaches… countless sand that extends for miles ahead & behind! Waves that are pure white & foamy… Clear blue waters & holiday resorts… Simply amazing… =)
