The Passing of Michael Jackson

Yeah, everybody (almost) knows that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has recently passed away. It was very sudden & it seems that all of the sudden, there came about a huge hype about him! His CDs started selling like hotcakes, TV broadcasting his memorial service, etc. Wow...

For me, I have never been a fan of Michael Jackson... or Michael Jordon... or Michael J. Fox... or even Michaelangelo (that ninja turtle). Ok, you got me... I did go crazy about Michaelangelo when I was a litte kid, but after awhile, it started to fade away... I was a KID, what do you expect? Ninja turtles was one of the more decent yet exciting cartoons back in the 80s!

Anyway, back to MJ... No, not my colleague Ming Ju... but Michael Jackson. It was because of his recent demise that I started being curious about his video clip over You Tube. Initially, I thought he has stage presence... well, he did... unless how in the world does he make $10 million per show... but after awhile, I started to reflect at the back of my mind, about this famous guy who started out poor, later on became rich... and much later, died a bankrupt. Just like Elvis Pressly, according to my Dad.

As I watched his video clips on You Tube, I started to pity him... seriously. Its really a sad story, not to mention his disfigured face and how skinny he looked now. Oh yes, and his countless pills and painkillers that he takes so regularly... its so sad... Well, he did revolutionise the pop culture, but that didn't end well for him... and of course, those media publicity about his crimes... Sigh...

Now when I watch his video clips online, I feel sorry and sad for him... and that person singing and dancing in the video clip is now dead... even a king will some day die... and it is even more sad how he ended up... and how he died... I wonder where is he now... heaven or hell... the moral of the story is - if you start out well, make sure you do your best to end well... if not, it would really be a sad case... for he has truly fallen from his 'glory'... sad... its such an irony...
