Basic Exercise Course (BEC) - Day 2
My hand-phone alarm sounded at 7:40am & it was time to get up from bed.
I only had slightly more than 1 hour of sleep last night because of that horrific nightmare. I grudgingly dragged myself out from my bed, stood at my bed-side for a few seconds & gave me long, good stretch upwards. Urgh! Every body cell is telling me to go back to my bed & rest for another few minutes. But I channeled my mental energy into keeping myself standing upright & made a firm decision to walk to the toilet to wash up. And that was how my new day begun...
I managed to grab a McDonald's Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal & boarded the bus that God thankfully provided on time. And there I was chewing on my early morning breakfast, to much of the annoyance of a plump middle-age aunty, occasionally eyeing at me from the corner of her eye. It was either because she was hungry & the smell of my breakfast was tempting her & making her even more hungry... or she didn't like the concentrated smell of my Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
Either way, it didn't really bother me... not to a man who has began to suffer from minor hunger pangs since my early morning nightmare. I don't know how my nightmare caused me to feel hunger in the wee early morning, but I resisted the temptation to even take a bite from my "Nature Valley 100% Natural Crunchy Granola Bar".
BEC - Day 2 comprise of the learning of various weight training programs & exercises. Sounds simple for any regular gym go-er, but trust me... it's not. Think about this - Compound... Eccentric... Isolation... Isometric... Concentric... & Resistance. Such are some of the terms used to describe types of exercises. Half of the session was spent on this portion of theory & various weight training programs. The remaining 2 hours were spent on learning the practical aspect of doing these exercises safely & effectively, as well as the beginner & advanced exercises. Since most were practical knowledge, I can't really type it into this Blog. But it was nevertheless, a good session. It's complication to describe everything in words. If you are interested... sign up for this course. It helps you to understand your body better & how to take care of it.
