What’s with that Chicken?

I never knew that there could be such a big hoo-ha over a little white chicken.

My applause to Walt Disney, for what I feel is a great cartoon masterpiece!

“Dragostea Din Tei” (by Ozone), whatever that means, is the title of the song from the latest Walt Disney hit movie – Chicken Little.

When I first saw this movie trailer, I felt that there was just something different about this trailer. I knew this trailer was going to work wonders, simply by the fact that although the animations were rather simple, yet with this ridiculously incomprehensible lyrics & upbeat tune, was able to capture the attention of young kids & those young at heart.

Seriously, I think it is precisely because there was nothing extravagant, just animations that were so simple to understand & laugh to, that it reached the hearts of many. It is really a great fit of cartoon & song. Great mix, great show…

After the initial hysterical laughs till my tummy hurts, I still enjoy smiling quietly to myself whenever I see this trailer being played on TV Mobile or at any McDonald’s outlet LCD screen. It just puts a smile on my face & it warms my heart to see people around smile too.

I think I just enjoy seeing people around me smile. If possible, laugh too. Somehow, I realized over the recent few months that I have a soft-spot when it comes to laughter. I love laughing & I love seeing people laugh. It just relaxes our mind & heart, making us happier people, even if it were for just a couple of seconds. That’s why I think mascots are a great idea for amusing people at shopping centers coz it makes people notice & smile… even babies are amused!

There was one day when I was having a quiet morning breakfast at McDonald’s when this trailer came up on the LCD screen. While smiling to myself as usual, suddenly I overheard this group of secondary school students shout out, “It’s a sunny day!”

Yes, I admit it. I once thought that one part of the lyrics was “It’s a sunny day…” Some weeks later, I found out that it’s actually the title of the song – “Dragostea Din Tei”, whatever that means. I don’t think Walt Disney would use a vulgar word for its ‘G’ rated cartoon movies… =)

Personally, I enjoyed mimicking this chicken’s actions too… & that amused Rebecca very much, till she became more enthusiastic than me to watch this show. At first, we were apprehensive, wondering if it was just the trailer that was captivating. But we decided to give it a shot & the cartoon turned out amazingly hilarious! It shook my tummy to the core & gave it a diaphragm exercise that it hadn’t had in months!

Seriously, there aren’t many cartoons as funny as this! Believe me, I saw many adults watching this movie with us in the theatre as well… though, it wasn’t surprising that Rebecca & I laughed the most & the loudest as usual… I just don’t know how to fit the right words to describe this show… except that it was just OUR kind of show! Hahahahaha… =)

Rebecca & I loved the part when this mother rabbit tired to rescue its babies from this incoming tumbling boulder that was rolling in, along with the fantastic accompaniment of the famous ‘Indiana Jones’ tune… then this rabbit started to pull its baby rabbits out of this small pram… & the babies came out in an unbelievably long trail… one after another! Without a doubt, that mother rabbit must have pulled out more than 20 baby rabbits in less than 2.5 seconds! *Laugh*… & she did that twice some-more…

There was this silly hog that’s so fat, you would wonder how his clothes fitted in & yet you wonder how he still manages to dance & spin around as if he didn’t have a care in the world… & without the fear of falling down, forming a shapely ‘figure-of-8’ imprint on the ground. And this pig sings to the song, “I will survive” while blasting his space ship at aliens… How more goofy can this get?! Hahahaha…

Rebecca liked this little orange alien that to me… looked like one of those red colored octopuses that are sold at Japanese sushi restaurant such Sakai Sushi & Genki Sushi. It was so small & so cute, especially the way it sticks out its small tongue & making cute farting noises! Awww… =)

Amazing show… go watch it! “Nu-mã, nu-mã, nu-mã iei…”
